Splash is my super model !  She is Ripple’s daughter from her first litter.  Splash has just turned 3 and is like a good red wine, she is just getting better with age.  Splash has the most perfect temperament – she is powerful yet elegant, super mover, well balanced with a stunning head and good ridge.

Splash is a pleasure to live with, loving, extremely intelligent & kind.  She is my first Ridgeback in 27 years to retrieve over and over again…she never tires of chasing and bringing back her yellow rubber ring !!  She lives for her game each day down the beach.  She loves to swim out to sea to retrieve and bring it back for her liver treat.

Splash loves spending her days teaching her younger sister – Rush – the ways of the world and is currently enjoying being the big sister to Ripple’s new batch of babies.

Splash was awarded Best In Show at the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of SA Champ Show in 2009 by breeder Judge Mrs. Jan Benson-Lidholm from “Bowbridge”  Kennels in Western Australia.  Splash also won Challenge bitch and Runner Up best of breed at the Royal Adelaide Show in 2010.  She was awarded Challenge bitch at the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Vic Champ Show in March 2011 by breeder Judge Mrs. Julie Bates (UK) from “Gunthwaite” Kennels.  Not bad for a bitch who is rarely shown due to my work commitments!  Splash is only shown at Specialty shows and the Adelaide Royal, with the occasional one snuck in – just to keep her in practice!  

On 2nd October 2011, Splash was awarded Res. Challenge Bitch at the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club Inc (NSW) Specialty Show under Breeder Judge Mr. John Arvin (USA).

At the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Victoria Champ Show 18th March, 2012 Splash was awarded Runner Up Best In Show  by breeder Judge Miss Cyndy Burton “Starridge Kennels”.
