| Spice's nickname is
"princess" she is a very special girl. She was the only bitch in her litter so
she had to make sure she had the upper paw on all the boys! She has a wonderful zest for
life. Spice had a habit that her long legs got everywhere 10 mins before her brain
did and hence wss always cutting her feet. I am sure she holds the record for the most
attendances to the vet for sliced pads. Spice lives with my very dear friends, Nikki & Jeff and her litter brother "Maulder" and a German Shepherd dog named "Charlay". She is a very elegant girl and has a lovely gentle nature like her mother - "Khoia". Spice gained her Australian Champion title February 1999 and has several Class In Group wins to her credit. Spice also had 10 months off from showing whilst I travelled overseas. Now in her later years, Spice is not quite as active as she used to be - Spice enjoys relaxing in the sun (just like her mother) and taking care of the new two legged additions to her family "Alyssa" & "Joel". Spice has been retired from the showring for a number of years now. On 1st October 2000 "Spice"
was awarded BEST IN SHOW at the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club Inc.
Championship Specialty Show held in Sydney (yes, the Olympic City!) - under Judge Mrs.
Stacey Davis (USA) who has owned, bred and exhibited Ridgebacks for 25 years. Mrs.
Davis also awarded Spice, Best Gaited Bitch. The breed entry for this show was
158. This was Spice's last show for 2000. This was
certainly the best way to top off a great year of showing in 2000. Winning Gold,
Gold, Gold for Macumazahn Kennels. Spice and her brother Ice,
will only be shown at Specialty level from now on. Spice had her first litter on 26th May, 1999 - which produced "Biscuit" and her second litter on 29th April, 2002 -which produced "Spin". She is a wonderful mother to her puppies. |
